The New, Fashion-Inspired Czapek Promenade Plissé
The brand's dress watch gets new, fashion-inspired dials that create an intriguing illusion of movement.

Launched at Watches and Wonders 2024, the Czapek Promenade collection is a 38mm genderless elegant watch that was imagined as a “canvas for creative expression.” We’ve seen it already with the limited edition Goutte d’Eau (water drop) model of last year, as well as the classic versions with a creative sunray guilloché pattern. For 2025, Czapek introduces the fashion-inspired Promenade Plissé (which means pleated), a dial variation available in three different colours, and that plays impressively with the ambient light.
The Czapek Promenade Plissé is a fashion-inspired iteration of the collection with a dial that is inspired by textile folds. Its curvy motif flows and moves to create a fluid look, bringing an eye-catching play of lights. It is made via a stamping technique with Czapek’s partner Metalem. The small seconds is offset at 4 o’clock on a subdial with a circular pattern. The applied indexes with diamond-cut angles are paired with skeletonized arrow-shaped hands. It comes in three different colours limited to 18 pieces each: ivory, pearl white and rose. These are presented on a brown or grey nubuck leather strap with a pin buckle or on a steel Milanese bracelet for the Rose edition.
Just like the previous versions of this dressy watch, the Czapek Promenade Plissé comes in a 38mm stainless steel case with a rounded bezel and recessed sand-blasted flanks. Flip the watch over and the see-through case back allows you to discover the beautiful calibre SXH5, which also powers the brand’s sports watch, the Antarctique. This in-house movement features an off-centred platinum 950 micro-rotor and seven bridges, 5 of which are openworked. It beats at 28,800 vibrations/hour and boasts a 60-hour power reserve on one barrel.
The Promenade Plissé is now available for order with deliveries announced for early 2026. The price is set at CHF 16,000 (excl. taxes). For more details, please visit Czapek.com.

Really ugly, in my opinion, but also I would argue 25-15 years out of date as a “fashion” piece. Might squint and see an awkward 90s Issey Miyaki or 2000s Zaha Hadid but the mirage fades fasts. Absolute fumble. Really bad.
